Paul Welhouse, CR, GCP, UDCP, CAPS – Owner and President – Paul worked the family construction business through high school and then summers as he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering with a Mechanical Engineering Minor at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). After graduation, Paul left the construction field entirely following a professional engineering career working for Outboard Marine Corporation and then Harley-Davison Motor Company. While working full time, Paul enrolled at Marquette University and obtained a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management. During this time the family’s construction company was thriving and growing in the Fox Valley. At this point there was no one in line to continue the tradition of superior quality, craftsmanship and service the family had established remodeling and building homes and businesses for over 95 years. In 2001 Paul left his corporate career and rejoined the family business. After three years of hands on experience, Paul bought into the business in 2003. The company was renamed to Welhouse Construction Services, LLC in 2005 as it moved into its fourth generation. In 2008 Paul took full ownership of the business.
Paul is a firm believer in continuing education and in 2007 received his Certified Remodeler designation from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), in 2009 became a Green Certified Professional (GCP) through NARI applying green or sustainable principles to building or remodeling projects and then received his Lead Safe certification. In 2013 Paul received his Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designation from the National Home Builders Association (NHBA) and in 2014 received his Universal Design Certified Professional (UDCP) designation through NARI . Paul serves on the NARI National Technical Committee assisting with the education and examination process of certification.
Paul shares his passion of building and remodeling with the community by volunteering for Rebuilding Together Fox Valley. As a Project Manager, Paul has lead teams of volunteers in preserving and revitalizing homes assuring that low-income homeowners, specifically seniors and those with disabilities, can continue to live in warmth, safety and independence. As Past-President of the Board of Directors, he assists in leading the non-profit volunteer based organization in forming partnerships within the community to rebuild and repair the homes of those in need.
Paul has one son, Kevin, and in his spare time enjoys golf, fishing and spending time with his family, friends and pets.
David Welhouse, CR – Past Owner, Master Carpenter/Structural Design – Dave began in the family business right after high school learning the building and remodeling trade from his grandfather and father. He became a master of hand craftsmanship creating custom woodworking from cabinets to built-ins, doors and finished trim work. Dave’s experience excels him as a builder and remodeler blending the new with old, working with unconventional building conditions, unleveled surfaces and simply comprised structures from age and settling.
In 1980 David bought into Jerome Welhouse Construction Services, Inc. and the business was renamed Jerome Welhouse & Son Construction Company, LLC. In 1998 David assumed full ownership of the family business. Dave’s wife Kathy took over the office administration while also raising their three sons. David advanced the business becoming a member the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Fox Valley Chapter in 1993. That same year David became a NARI Certified Remodeler (CR) and maintains his certification today. Dave made the business an organized Domestic Limited Liability Company in 1995.

In the summer her favorite activity is assisting in picking the garden as she knows a fresh vegetable treat is moments away. In the winter she can be found making puppy angels all over the freshly fallen snow. When Sadie is not chasing squirrels and rabbits, she loves spending time with her family and receiving as much attention and petting as she can get.
